This 45,000 sq ft facility, proposed by a local non-profit, has the attention of the Town supervisor who has promised public land in an ideal location to build the facility. The building will include 3 pools, a competition pool for swimming and diving, an indoor recreational water park and a lesson/warm-up pool, and a full-size Physical Therapy Pool. The building also includes a cafe, locker rooms, support space, a dryland-training room, and a multi-purpose room. The roof is inspired by the adjacent skate park, an ocean wave, the need to control interior volume, acoustics, and energy.

It is structured with suspended cables from a concrete buttress system. Visually and functionally, the building speaks aquatics as the nature of this facility and the functions inside can be enjoyed from every angle. This center will be the only one of its kind on Long Island and will have a positive impact on thousands of lives.
